We were asked to create the background elements and opening titles, and to put the rest of the project together after the initial edit.

The interviews were all shot in HD against a green-screen, which naturally meant all our assets needed to also work in high definition.  We chroma-keyed the green-screen, and layered everything together, plus also creating the title sequence.

The resulting video was then delivered to the client on Blu-ray.

That version was distributed on DVDs, and shown in public places.  It caused a fair stir within the Council, as we’d produced the kind of product that they never thought they could have achieved.

It was going to be two weeks originally, but the Council were lucky enough to get an extra week on the house.

Ace. Just hope we get time to go and see our handywork.

Not content with getting their work on national television (with 1.5 million viwers) before they’d even finished getting the company incorporated (3 years ahead of that particular goal), the boys at Brace recently completed a project which will be shown in cinemas soon in 2008!

The job, completed in November 2007, means that Dom and Paul’s goal of getting work into cinema within 10 years of starting the company has been utterly obliterated – by a 7 year margin!

The anti-drink drive project, which came from video company ST16, had already been graded once (see other blog posts) and exported by our team for use initally on youtube, and was highly rated there too. All the filming was done in High Definition, so it was pretty close to the resolution required for film.

We played with the colours a bit more, and made all the text as sharp as possible, before we exported the whole thing, ready to go to film.

Filming was all done in HD, with additional filters on the lenses for added film-like richness.

Our team took all the footage and recorded audio, and edited the shots together.  Next we spruced up the picture quality by adding a nice warm grade to the pictures.  Finally, we applied the graphics and replaced the overcast sky in the final shot with some lovely animated 3D clouds in a sunset.

The sales figures for the restaurant chain received a large boost after this commercial aired on ITV1.
